These were the words of Chindamabaram when India's new FM(not Radio FM ;-) but Finance Minister) presented his first budget.With Manmohan Singh as PM,Chidambaram as FM and Montek Singh Ahluwalia in Planning Commission, it is considered to be the best trio a nation's economy can have today.
The new govts. come & go, but the basic problems of the country remain the same.Do we think why? Just go over these mind-blowing facts,out of 1 billion Indian population only about 3 crore file income tax returns.Out of which only 1.5 crore pay income tax. Do we have only these handful in the country whose income is taxable?
Are we going to blame only govt for implementation of rules or Everytime someone has to teach us that in a democracy rights come along with duties?How many of us who belong to educated class have motivated any other to perform civic duties?
Its really painful to write such a blog after looking at a poor & weak old man pushing a cart for his living after fifty years of independence.At some point i also find myself to be responsible for the country's progress as I am enjoying to live with freedom in a country called India.
I know this country has bright minds.So,after reading this blog even if one person gets enlightened & educates one other person my aim of writing the blog is fulfilled.
